Formula Student Team “Road Arrow”
“Road Arrow” is the first Serbian Formula Student team. We design, build and test a racing vehicle every year, and compete at the most prestigious world engineering competition – Formula Student. The goal of the competition is the education and development of students through the design and manufacturing of a lightweight sports vehicle. There are more than 600 university teams all around the world.
Students from the University of Belgrade founded the team in 2010 and since then we built six formulas, more than 200 students have been a part of the team and thousands of man hours were invested in this project. Throughout the years we managed to introduce new materials, such as carbon fiber and 3D printed plastic parts.
Last season we started to manufacture 3D printed plastic parts on our own. Today we use 3D printer for production of intake manifold, throttle, inserts for wings, which serve as reinforcement for aero package. In the future we plan to manufacture more parts from plastic, such as steering wheel, brake pedal and molds for various complex carbon fiber parts.

3D pharmacy is pharmacy of future. As pharmacists we put patient’s needs first. We research how to individualize the drug therapy and easily associate different drugs and release technologies in the same pharmaceutical unit. What that means? We want to tailor drug, shape of drug and dose according patients need. Why is it important for patients? Drug will reach their full potential and we will improve quality of life for our patients. With new 3D print technology we can achieve our goals and in near future 3D printers will have been an essential part of every pharmacy.
So we came here from future. At Fabelgrade you can see what a 3D printer is and how it works in pharmacy. We are going to demonstrate how we prepare mixture of active ingredient and excipients for two types of 3D printers: Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Stereolithography (SLA). We are going to show how we make filaments for FDM printer and finally we are going to print drugs with these two printers. You will have the opportunity to see different shapes and sizes of printlets and to compare them with conventional tablets and capsules.
This is practical work in relation to the presentation of Dr Svetlana Ibrić to be held during Healthtech #4 meetup.
The practical demonstrations will be held during both days of FABelgrade, as part of FABFaire.

- 2018. Perspectives XXXIII, La centre culturel de Serbie, Paris
Although the Belgrade Fine art faculty has a more traditional approach to artist education, after III year students are encouraged to develop contemporary ideas. Unfortunately Bogdan finished studies before multimedia arts subject was developed on faculty. As being interested in mechanical and robotic sculptures (commonly referred as mobiles) Bogdan had to find his own production way to accomplish his tasks. With a modest budget, and without possibility to find help in understanding electronic and robotic on faculty, he turned to internet open source lessons and forums and to local fablab organization – Polyhedra fablab .
Most of Bogdan’s work is made of rejected and thrown away parts, for example, completely functional mobile telephone or hairdryer which can be bought on open flea market for less than one euro. Bogdan recycles old consumer electronic and mechanical parts, he is taking them their original shape and function and gives to them a new one.
Two of Bogdan’s interactive sculptures will be on display in the Hall during the whole FABelgrade convention:
- Maglomat: machine that sells fog, is sculpture named after Serbian phrase “Selling fog” which is used when someone is trying to scam someone, so scammer is called a fog seller. Sculpture is interactive. By putting appropriate coin in marked opening on machine (sculpture) mechanism starts producing fog which is delivered to consumer after 15 seconds.
- Bušač betona: concrete driller is sculpture that uses old mobile telephone and mobile operator. After calling presented number visitor can enjoy in aesthetic image of moving sculpture.
